I am feeling a little lazy today and so this mood feels for a lazy, indulgent post - time then, for my latest Ins and Outs...
IN
1) Growing hair - it's so nice that my hair length is diverting away from stage blah into stage long! I feel much more like myself and I am still avoiding heat in order to keep it in tip top condition. Oh yes, long locks will be mine.
2) Box dye experimentation - I know this isn't for everyone but I find this whole experimentation with boxed dyes all very exciting. I kind of like the anticipation when you are sitting there with the dye on and wondering what colour it will turn out. I am not at all scared by it and I actually find it fun. What a weirdo I am - but I also know that Gemsmaquillage is with me on this one, aren't you Gemma? :)
3) NARS Sheer Glow - I have been avoiding using this recently as I really don't want it to run out but after picking it up again last week and using some of the last few drops I appreciate it more than I ever did. For me this really is an excellent foundation - great coverage, natural finish and all right top performer. Other items I have been falling back in total love with include MAC Creme d'Nude lipstick and MAC Tempting eyeshadow - these gems will never be surpassed.
4) Visiting family - I will have visitors for Xmas and they will be bringing with them some goodies sent to me by PR agencies since I have been here. I know there is some Elf Studio and Proactiv heading my way which I am curious about. There are also a few nail polishes I ordered from ebay including OPI's My Private Jet. Score!
5) Jersey Shore - this show is like a social experiment. Collect a group of overtanned, oversexed males and females. Put them up in a seaside town in Jersey. Add alcohol and hairspray and see what they make of it. I love the fact that they have iconic nicknames - J-Woww, The Situation and Snooki? That is stuff legends are made of and is well worth the torrent download!
OUT
1) A lack of festive spirit - I feel so removed from everything Xmas here. I don't see enough tacky decorations and tinsel to inject that sense of festivity and a part of me misses it. I shouldn't complain too much though - the temperature outside is mid twenties (celsius) and I can't deny how amazing that feels.
2) Shrinking eyelashes - the lack of Lilash is beginning to show. I would still deem my eyelashes decent but they are nowhere near as long as they were. However, having said that I think a break from it is a good thing - I may start again in the spring but for now extreme length will be achieved with an even more temporary measure: falsies!

awww I know christmas is not much of a celebration in Dubai :( But you cant beat it for the scorching heat ;) Its snowing bad here in England and not much fun indeed :S
my boyfriend and I watched an episode of the jersey shore last night after refusing to watch it because we reside in new jersey. However, its so ridiculous that we were hooked instantly. haha
Your brave dying your own hair, especially lightening it. When I box dye my hair between salon visits I'm always dead nervous, ha.

@Charlotte - my only bad experiences have ever been at salons. i think this is why i dont mind DIY-ing: if I mess it up its my fault and it hasn't cost me that much. I think however that I might end up at a professionals for the lightening - i had a great salon recommendation so will give it a whirl.
I’m from New Jersey (north jersey 15 min from NYC to be exact) and in the summer its really like that down the shore... it may seem crazy but I’m used to it and wouldn’t have it any other way. LOVE your blog/channel I too was growing my short victoria beckham bob for the past year and a half and its finally just below my chest all due to the no heat challenge I forced upon myself and my hair stylist using organic hair dye to gradually lighten my naturally really dark brown hair :) PS. Cant wait to see your hair when u dye it jan 1. you look so beautiful in your recent pics with the highlights!!!

I would have to go for box dyes as well since my paid-for-ginger-highlight-disaster. Having salon dyed hair is so overrated!

PRE-Christmas weight. It's not even the big day yet and some extra pesky lbs have already made an appearance. Damn that Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia!
Chapped Lips - no matter what lip balm I use I still suffer in the winter.
Prophecy Clothing - 7 day return policy. SEVEN days?! What's with the urgency? Oh yes that's right - you just want to keep my money.
@men4breakfast - i love raywj! :) he is one of my favourite YouTubers. plus i keep singing the song he produced and puts at the end of his videos :) haha
@lollipop26 - haha that is so not lady like! Hope you don't sing it out loud. It is catchy though...

I love boxed dye AND Proactiv! I don't have bad acne, but when I do have the occasional breakout, it helps clear it up. I hope you like it!

My BF got me to watch Jersey Shore actually. I came across one night and told how stupid yet addicting it was overly tanned people party and doing such stupid things, ha. Its amazing how much of a hit they are!

I love the Jersey Shore series, and I think it is hilarious! My friends and I watch it every week and we're even going to have a themed party and dress like them, which should be very interesting haha!

Jersey shore reminds me of growing up in Michigan, Guidos everywhere. My girls go back in the summer & they have been dying over the show. I'm scared to tell them that's how we all looked when i was in high school, heehee!

I've been using box hair dye for years and don't see the need to spend $150 at the colorist. However, I will never do highlights myself. Also, I've been using Lilash for about four months now and am terrified of taking a break. My lashes are freaky long and I love it! I dont' know if I can ever go back!
