MAC Dazzleglass Creme

I moved this weekend and now live within walking distance of the mall with my favourite MAC ever.

On the way there I get to see all the quintessential Dubai sites...tall tower blocks...

and the odd abandoned car

The Dazzleglass Creme's have only just been launched in the UAE but earlier in the week my MAC counter let me choose which ones I wanted and put them aside. As soon as they got the email saying that they could go ahead and sell them, I got the phone call.

I am loving the customer service here!

Anyway I selected two:

* Perfectly Unordinary (pink)
* Creme Allure (raspberry)

Perfectly Unordinary was the safe choice - a yellow pink that looks non-offensive and easy-to-wear.

Creme Allure was the wildcard. I think I chose this because it's the lipgloss version of Revlon's Cherries in the Snow and we all know that is my favourite 'non-nude' lipstick of all time.

Sadly I think this gloss needs to be paired with lipstick. I kind of like a gloss that is opaque enough to be worn on it's own but if I don Creme Allure solo, after a while it settles.

Apart from this mishap, I like these glosses. Shimmery but not sticky. I was a bit wary of these because of their supposed relation to the Cremeglasses. Those babies made me feel sick. I am very pleased to report that these do not :)

Did you get any of these when they were launched in your country agesss ago? :)

lovely! I got the dazzlecreme in Amorous- such a beautiful crushed ruby shade!

I picked up the cremesheen glass in Ever so rich, and I am a little disapointed- its so sheer and it doesn't last!

I didn't actually get any as I tried them on at the counter and I guessed that they might bleed/settle. In a way it's quite good that you get the collections later as you can check the reviews first, if you wait for the reviews here they have sold out when you go back! x

I wonder what creme allure would look like on top of Cherries in the Snow? Dramatic lips ahoy!

Does no one come and tow the cars away? Do the dealers not want their cars back to sell on? x

I just can't get on with dazzleglass! Perfectly Unordinary looks good enough to eat though xx

I didn't but they looked fun. Looks like you have settled in there. Great customer service. I wish ours was more like that (but I'm not going to get into rant!!!).

Have lost my voice with a chesty cold so reading blogger posts is really distracting me today!

I was going to skip these but Creme Allure was def my pick if I changed my mind! LOL

I planned on getting 2 cremesheen glasses with the holiday collection. Was just wondering why they made you sick--a scent perhaps?? Let me know! :)

@SweetTea - yeah i just hated the scent/taste of them. and the consistency was so thin it lasted about 2 seconds on my lips. some of the colours are really pretty though and you might love the scent so see what you think.

those abondoned cars are insane!

I'll probably grab at least one to satisfy the urge and see how it goes! I've just really wanted some nice sparkle free glosses. I love shimmer but its nice to change things up! I do really love some of the lipgelees but I prefer a wand applicator:)

I am loving the Dazzleglass Cremes-this is my first time trying them out. When they came here in the states, I only bought Creme Allure. I like the raspberry shade. I may come back for Amorous-I think it's a great holiday color.Sometimes I pair Creme Allure with a lipstick by Cargo Plant Love called Lola. I layer the Creme Allure on top for a red/raspberry shade combo. I think it's pretty. Wow, I wish I could next door or down the street from a MAC- that would be a dream!

Ooops not Lola! Duh, sorry! I meant to say the color Sam! I think it's great together!

It is so dangerous living close to a MAC counter...I have exactly the same problem.

"Must use will-power, must use will-power, must u...oooh look a new collection!!!"

I really love the first one. I wanted to get My favorite pink, because I it looks a lot like the Pink Fish lip conditioner which I love, but I decided against it. I'm waiting for the Holiday lipgloss kits :)

i got sublime shine, as it's one of my HG shades and couldn't resist, i'm ok with mine but wish it wouldn't settle into the lines of my lips like you say creme allure does.

aah dubai! wish i was in some warm, sunny locale right now.

I'm very tempted to go get perfectly unordinary ^^ but I've been finding myself being drawn to the lipgelees, hahah. I havn't been able to get to a mac counter so I havn't seen the products in person yet, but I'm on the site right now and there's another cremesheen glass that fits perfectly unordinary's colour description; partial to pink. Any thoughts?

Would you write a bit more about the abandoned cars and what exactly happened with the economy there? I live in a small town in southern Texas, so this is like my way of learning about the world ; )

How fun that you live so close to a MAC! I was wondering what your verdict on MUFE and NARS foundation was? I'm looking into these two as potentials :)

I didn't get any of the DG Creme. They were pretty, but i think I fanally figured out I'm a lipstick girl. I do know what you mean about the shear gloss. If I have a gloss I want it to look like it does in the tube.

I watched Dubai on Oprah this week. It was so amazing, & the shops, WOW! Of course i was thinking how lucky you were to br there.

The beautiful cars left behind, do make me sad.

Both look great. I love your sunglasses, are they Dior?

I saw that exact car on another blog the other day.... so people just dump their cars when they can't pay for it? that is a pretty expensive car there!

Even though I should be leaving feedback about the dazzleglass creme ..i cant think of anything but that car! It's boggling my mind... only in Dubai can it be true abandoned fancy cars like beemers just sitting there, all lonely on the streets, my heart goes out to them :)

perhaps its time I mosey on over to the UAE .... tee hee.
